  • Jer

    Thanks for your procedure.

    I tried to install Odoo v8 on Ubuntu 14.04 according your command lines.

    Unfortunately, it does not work. When I start odoo I receive the followed result:

    odoo@laptop:~/v8/server$ ./openerp-server -c /etc/openerp-server.conf
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File “./openerp-server”, line 5, in

    file: /etc/openerp-server.conf, line: 2
    ‘admin_passwd = xxxxxxxxxxxxxn’

    Do you have any idea what to do?

    • Hi Jeremie,

      It seems like, you have incorrectly configure your openerp-server.conf file. Can you please share your openerp-server.conf code here. It will help to figure out issue. One more thing, as Openerp Moved to Github, I am writing new article for installing Odoo on Ubuntu from github, you can check that for your future reference.

        Hello Vimal.

        Thank you for your quick answer.

        This is my openerp-server.conf file:

        odoo@laptop:~/v8/server$ more /etc/openerp-server.conf
        ; This is the password that allows database operations:
        admin_passwd = xxxxxxxxxxxxx
        db_host = False
        db_port = False
        db_user = odoo
        db_password = False
        addons_path = /opt/odoo/v8/addons,/opt/odoo/v8/web/addons
        ;Log settings
        logfile = /var/log/openerp/openerp-server.log
        log_level = error

        Thank you for answering.

        The problem was that it typed IP address instead of localhost, but my IP address has been changed.

    I have downloaded and installed gdata client as per step 6 of this tutorial but when
    downloading the addons directory from Launchpad (bzr branch
    lp:~openerp/openobject-addons/saas-4 addons) the process unfortunately end up with the following message:

    Killed0kB 1463kB/s Fetching revisions:Inserting stream:Est.. 1377927/1378152

    Any hint about how to solve this issue?
